„Spiritul sculpturii”

„Constantin Brancuși, legendă a sculpturii mondiale.
Datorită lui, pasărea măiastră de pe covoarele oltenești și-a luat zborul și a intrat în eternitate.Am conceput această lucrare cu gândul la ironia sorții acestui artist care a avut un destin iesit din comun.
Jumătate tăran și jumătate zeu, cum l-a numit o persoană din anturajul său, Brancuși a parcurs pe jos drumul initiatic de la statutul de fiu de tăran din Hobița , la cel de sculptor de talie internațională.
Cel ce a reinventat sculptura punând bazele modernismului în acest domeniu artistic, ridicând simboluri naționale la rang de universal.
Sanctuarul dacic stilizat în Masa tăcerii, Coloana fără sfârșit, Poarta sărutului, sunt doar câteva dintre simbolurile ce definesc nu doar spiritualitatea românească, ci și aspirațiile general umane către sacralitate , cunoaștere și iubire.
Astfel l-am redat în această compoziție, stilizat sub forma unui zeu veghind din cer asupra : Tăcerii, infinitului și Iubirii...”

„Spirit of sculpture”

„Constantin Brancuşi, legend of the world sculpture.
Thanks to him,the great miraculous bird from the Oltean carpets took its flight and entered into eternity.
I conceived this work thinking at the irony of this artist's fate with such an uncommon destiny.
Half peasant and half god,as one of his close persons called him,Brancusi walked the initiatic way from the status of a country man from Hobita to that of an international sculptor.
Brancusi was the one who reinvented sculpture laying the foundations of modernism in this artistic field,raising the national symbols at the universal rank.
The Dacian sanctuary stylized in the Table of the Silence,the Endless Column,the Gate of the Kiss,are just some of the symbols that define not only the Romanian spirituality,but also the general human aspirations towards sacredness,knowledge and love.
That 's why I imagined him in this composition as a god watching from heaven above Silence,Infinity and Love."
