„În această compoziție tumultuoasă, unde umbrele și focul vibrează într-un vârtej de furie și eliberare, varcolacii pătrund prin vitraliile unei catedrale, sfâșiind vălul dintre mit și realitate. O explozie de tonuri arse în roșu, portocaliu și negru – construiește o atmosferă incandescentă, ca un ecou al trecutului marcat de focul dogmelor și de temerile ancestrale ale omenirii.
Lupii-metamorfozați pot parea simple creaturi ale nopții; dar ei sunt și reminiscențele unei istorii mai vechi decât însăși religia. Ei sunt moștenirea traco-dacică a poporului care a trăit sub semnul lupului, pentru care „lupta” și „lupul” sunt una și aceeași esență a existenței. În ochii lor arde spiritul neîmblânzit al celor care au înfruntat destinul, asemenea strămoșilor ce își apărau pământul cu vitejie și loialitate neclintită.
Dar acești "varcolaci" in fond nu sunt doar simboluri ale puterii ancestrale. Ei sunt, de asemenea, victimele unei lumi care a rescris istoria în favoarea fricii. de exemplu ,legenda nopții de Sfântul Andrei, superstițiile despre morții transformați în bestii, focurile Inchiziției ce purificau prin suferință – toate acestea sunt ecouri ale unui trecut în care frica a fost arma supremă de manipulare a religiei.
Lupii din pictură sugerează strigătul acestui adevăr, rupându-se de zidurile rigide ale credinței impuse, silite sau îndoctrinate prin frică, pășind dincolo de barierele impuse de cei ce credeau că dețin adevărul absolut.
Probabil că privind această lucrare, te întrebi: cine sunt adevărații monștri? Lupii care își urmează natura sau oamenii care au folosit dogma pentru a subjuga și înrobi? Poate că „flăcările iadului” nu au fost niciodată o pedeapsă divină, așa cum timp de milenii oamenii au fost terorizați de majoritatea celor ce pretindeau a fi „slujitorii Domnului”. Poate că aceste flăcări sunt, de fapt, reflexia pământească a mâinilor care au ars trupuri și idei, totul în numele unui „bine suprem”.
Singurul „bine” urmărit a fost, de fapt, propriul lor interes, atins prin inducerea fricii de necunoscut—un necunoscut creat și întreținut deliberat. Din setea de putere și control absolut, au menținut masele într-o beznă mentală, hrănindu-le cu dogme și temeri menite să le suprime gândirea și libertatea.
Crucea, simbol al divinității, a fost fluturată nu doar ca semn al credinței iar asta este tot mai evident în vremurile noastre, ci și ca un instrument de manipulare, un pretext pentru a subjuga masele și a menține puterea în mâinile celor care și-au ascuns ambițiile sub masca sacrului.
Prietenia dintre om și lup depășește granițele timpului și ale morții, fiind prima legătură autentică de loialitate necondiționată din istoria umanității.
Lupul a fost un simbol al demnității și identității acestui popor, un strămoș al unei civilizații antice nobile și curajoase.
Dacii și-au purtat cu mândrie stindardul de luptă având cap de lup, semn al ferocității, bravurii și loialității lor. Coada de șarpe a aceluiași stindard evoca viclenia și agilitatea necesare supraviețuirii, dar și capacitatea de a se strecura din calea pericolelor.
De-a lungul timpului, percepția asupra lupului a fost distorsionată de mituri, religie și alte interese politice. Cei care s-au prezentat drept slujitorii divinității l-au transformat într-un simbol al întunericului, deși tocmai ei erau cei care răspândeau frica și manipularea, folosind religia ca prima forma de manipulare socială și instrument de control al lumii.
În realitate, lupii sunt ființe sacre, esențiale în existența omului. Din genele lor s-au creat, artificial și selectiv, toți câinii care astăzi ne sunt companioni. De aceea, câinele este singura ființă capabilă de o loialitate și iubire absolută.El se poate bucura, poate muri sau suferi pentru stăpânul său, așa cum niciun prieten, părinte sau partener uman nu ar face-o vreodată.
Am creat această lucrare intitulată "Licantropie” ca pe un fel de declarație vizuală. Un manifest al libertății de gândire, al luptei pentru adevăr, al moștenirii ce transcende timpul. Este un fel de punte între trecut și prezent, între mit și conștiință, între teama impusă și spiritul liber, care refuză să fie îngenuncheat și îndoctrinat de ipocrizia celor mânați de meschinărie și setea machiavelică de putere."

“In this tumultuous composition, where shadows and fire throb in a vortex of fury and liberation,where werewolves burst through the stained-glass windows of a cathedral, tearing apart the veil between myth and reality. An explosion of scorched tones of red, orange, and black builds an incandescent atmosphere, like an echo of a past marked by the fires of dogma and the ancestral fears of mankind.
The wolf-shaped beings of metamorphosis may seem like mere creatures of the night; but they are also remnants of a history older than religion itself. They are the Thracian-Dacian legacy of a people who lived under the sign of the wolf, for whom ‘battle’ and ‘wolf’ are one and the same essence of existence. In their eyes burns the untamed spirit of those who confronted fate, much like their ancestors who defended their land with courage and unwavering loyalty.
But these ‘werewolves’ are not merely symbols of ancestral power. They are also victims of a world that rewrote history in favor of fear. For example, the legend of Saint Andrew’s night, the superstitions about the dead transformed into beasts, the flames of the Inquisition that ‘purified’ through suffering – all are echoes of a past in which fear was the ultimate weapon of religious manipulation.
The wolves in the painting suggest the cry of this truth, breaking free from the rigid walls of imposed belief, enforced or indoctrinated through fear, stepping beyond the boundaries set by those who believed they held the absolute truth.
You may find yourself, while observing this artwork, wondering: who are the real monsters? The wolves who follow their nature, or the people who used dogma to subjugate and enslave? Perhaps the ‘flames of hell’ were never a divine punishment, as for millennia people were terrorized by the majority of those who claimed to be ‘servants of the Lord’. Perhaps those flames are in fact the earthly reflection of the hands that burned both bodies and ideas, all in the name of a so-called ‘supreme good’.
The only ‘good’ ever pursued was, in truth, their own interest, achieved by inducing fear of the unknown—an unknown deliberately fabricated and sustained. Out of hunger for power and absolute control, they kept the masses in mental darkness, feeding them dogmas and fears meant to suppress thought and freedom.
The cross, a symbol of divinity, was brandished not only as a sign of faith—something increasingly evident in our times—but also as an instrument of manipulation, a pretext for subjugating the masses and maintaining power in the hands of those who masked their ambitions beneath the guise of the sacred.
The friendship between man and wolf transcends the boundaries of time and death, being the first genuine bond of unconditional loyalty in the history of humanity.
The wolf was a symbol of dignity and identity for this people, an ancestor of an ancient, noble, and courageous civilization.
The Dacians proudly carried their battle standard bearing the head of a wolf, a sign of their ferocity, bravery, and loyalty. The serpent-like tail of the same standard evoked the cunning and agility necessary for survival, as well as the ability to slip away from danger.
Throughout time, the perception of the wolf has been distorted by myths, religion, and other political interests. Those who presented themselves as servants of divinity turned it into a symbol of darkness, even though they were the ones spreading fear and manipulation, using religion as the first form of social manipulation and a tool of world control.
In reality, wolves are sacred beings, essential to human existence. From their genes were artificially and selectively created all the dogs that today are our companions. That is why the dog is the only being capable of absolute loyalty and love. It can rejoice, suffer, or even die for its master in ways that no friend, parent, or human partner ever would.
I created this work titled *‘Lycanthropy’* as a kind of visual statement. A manifesto of freedom of thought, of the struggle for truth, of heritage that transcends time. It is a bridge between past and present, between myth and consciousness, between imposed fear and the free spirit that refuses to be knelt down and indoctrinated by the hypocrisy of those driven by pettiness and Machiavellian thirst for power"
