„Pontifex”

„Uneori spiritele devin captive și se ancorează în materie cu intenția evidentă de a o domina.

Sub povara tiarei și a veșmintelor de mare preot , pontifex reprezintă ipostaza marelui conducător de oști spirituale în lupta cu adversitățile vremii.

Prins în tesătură de intrigi , spiritul sau încearcă să mențină ordine într-un sistem care a rezistat avalanșei timpului pe parcursul a două milenii.

Animat de spirit , un biet corp uman ține piept unui potop de evenimente istorice și fenomene sociale și , chiar dacă se clatină , rezistă.

De la înălțimea poziției pe care o deține , perspectiva asupra lumii îl întărește în convingerea că a fost ales pentru a fi liderul spiritual într-o lume materialistă și mercantilă.

Pontifex întruchipează supremația spiritului asupra materiei.

Această pictură , desigur , pune accent pe latura umană , vulnerabilă , a personajului."

„Pontifex”

Author's description:

„Sometimes the spirits become captive and anchor in the matter with the obvious intent to dominate it.

Under the burden of the tyre and  vestments of high priest,pontifex represents the hypostasis of the great spiritual ruler in the struggle with the adversities of the time. In the fabric of  intrigues, his spirit is trying to maintain order in a system that resisted the avalanche of time during two millenia.

Animated by spirit, a poor human body is struggling with a flood of historical events and social phenomena and, even if it rocks,it resists. 

From the height of his position, the outlook on the world strengthens him in the belief that he was chosen to be the spiritual leader in a materialist and commercialized world.

Pontifex embodies the supremacy of spirit over the matter.

This painting, of course, emphasizes the vulnerable human face of the character."
